Letterpress and embossing from hand engraved die describe most closely the process of making Playing Orca Whales card. First all the colors were printed on our big boy, the Heidelberg Cylinder press, each color in a separate run; then each card was manually fed to the platen press to reach the embossed relief of the whales and the tiny fish. As for the hand made die, how do I recognize a hand made die you may ask... Well, note the multilevel relief of the impression on the paper, that's the true sign.

Playing Orca Whales card features deckle edge, resembling the times when all the paper was hand made only.
